Commercial exchange between Mexico and the US in constant growth

The activity between Mexico and the United States remained dynamic, this time with the figures accumulated to November 2021 it is obtained that the exchange between both countries totaled 604,182 million dollars (mdd), 23.6% compared to the same 11 months of 2020.

This advance was made up of a 30.9% increase in Mexican imports from the United States, which totaled 252,718 million dollars, while exports from Mexico were 351,464 million dollars, an advance of 18.8% in this area, reported the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS).

Based on the figures of the agency dependent on the Department of Transportation (DOT), it is obtained that the result achieved in the accumulated January - November of last year also exceeds the pre-pandemic levels, that is, the data for 2019, at 6.41 % in total trade, 6.34% in exports from Mexico and 6.49% in imports from the United States.

In the behavior by mode of transportation, motor transport added 421,892 million dollars in the reference cycle, this was a growth of 20% compared to the January - November 2020 cycle. Of the total reached by motor transport, the greatest growth was recorded imports from the United States, which grew 22% to reach 166,165 million dollars, while exports to the American Union were 255,727 million dollars, an 18.6% increase, reported the BTS.
